Exciting News

Even before Matthew and I were married I dreamed about having a family,  and having my own children.  Last winter when I was working in the daycare in Manitou I was surrounded by children and that made me long for my own even more.  We were so blessed by the birth of Jayden Matthew on August 2, 2011,  and continue to be blessed!  We are expecting another baby for August!  (eeeee,  so excited)  I am now 13 weeks along,  and feeling really well.  I have been quite tired,  but I think that I'm almost over that tiredness hump.

Some people have been asking if this pregnancy was planned or an accident.  And I always tell them we take it as it comes.  I believe that there are no accident pregnancies or accident children.  I believe that God has a special purpose for each life that he has created,  and that every life is beautiful.  So I guess that His plan was that Jayden have a sibling,  and that Matthew and I should have the responsibility of raising another child.  A pastor I know once told me that children were little angels from God,  and it was our job to make sure they got back to heaven where they came from.  I pray every night that I can be the mother that my children need and that they find Jesus as Saviour.  I am really enjoying the ups and downs,  the joys and frustrations of motherhood,  and am looking forward to meeting this new little one.

Jayden Matthew, Six Months

These six months have just flown by!  It has been and continues to be a wonderful experience having Jayden in our home.  Looking back can hardly imagine him not being here.  He has started to sit on the floor and play,  and loves it when Daddy comes to play with him!  Also just last week his first two teeth came through!   But the teething continues,  and I thank the Lord that it doesn't seem to bother him too much.

A big thank you to Megan Pauls for taking the time to have the photo shoot!  You did an awesome job!!!:)

Winter Fun!

This last Saturday was such a beautiful winter day,  like only -5 with hardly any wind,  so Jayden and I went skating on the parents-in-laws ice rink.  It was great fun.  Some of Matthew's siblings were skating with us as well.  We had an awesome time!   But I can sure tell how out of shape I have become LOL!

Jayden is now five months since Jan. 2  and has learned how to sit by himself!  He loves to sit on the floor or wherever and play with his toys!  This is the first time he was sitting by himself.  I love watching him grow up,  but then I wonder where the time went.

Reason for the Season

Merry Christmas

Today when I woke up,  I began to think about the reason that we look forward to the season of Christmas as much as we do.  I think the first reason that would come to your mind is presents,  good food,  family gatherings,  and friend get togethers.  And definitely those are things that you can and should look forward to.  But really,  why are we doing this.

"And so it was,  that,  while they were there,  the days were accomplished that she would be delivered.  And she brought forth her firstborn son,  and wrapped him in swaddling clothes,  and laid him in a manger;  because there was no room for them in the inn.  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,  keeping watch over their flock by night.  And,  lo,  the angel of the Lord came upon them,  and the glory of the Lord shone round about them:  and they were sore afraid.  And the angel said unto them,  Fear not:  for,  behold,  I bring you good tidings of great joy,  which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour,  which is Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign unto you;  Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes,  lying in a manger."  Luke 2:7-12

What awesome news!   The beginning of the greatest life in all of history!  The beginning of our salvation and eternal life.  Its mind boggling to me how JESUS,  would leave heaven,  the only perfect place,  and come down to earth to be with us sinful man.  I can`t think of a better Christmas gift than that!    I hope and pray that everyone would receive this wonderful gift,  and pass it on to those around them.

So wherever you find yourself this Christmas season,  with family or friends,  remember what the real reason it is that we are doing all these things.  I pray that you and yours have a wonderful celebration.  From my house to yours,  Merry Christmas!!!!

Praise the Lord!  An update on Rebecca!  She is home now!  Stiff and sore,  but she's home,  eating and on the mend.  This is another testimony of how prayer is so powerful.  I know there many people praying for her and her family,  and I know they were heard and answered.  From being in critical condition to going home in three days,  is truely a miracle.  THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR AWESOME POWER!!!!

Four months old!

Our little family

I can hardly believe that my active little baby boy is four months old!  He is growing so fast.  At his last app. he was 14lbs 11.5 oz and 26" long. Feels like we just brought him home from the hospital! He is such a contented baby,  and I thank God everyday for this wonderful blessing He has sent to our home.
